If you're exporting your mailing list from existing platforms, bringing them here is very simple. It's a one click import.
Import into Igloos
In your workspace, open Settings and find the Subscribers card, then upload the CSV. If you don't have a CSV but have emails you can manually add them one by one too.
What maps over
Each column of your CSV becomes one field on the reader:
What maps over
| CSV column | Required | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Email (or Email address) | Yes | Becomes the subscriber address — header matching ignores capitalization |
| Name | No | Kept as the reader's name; very long names are shortened, not dropped |
| Start date | No | Becomes each reader's subscribed date |
| Status | No | Unsubscribed readers stay unsubscribed; without a status column, everyone arrives subscribed |
How errors are handled
Rows sharing an email collapse to the last row. Rows without a valid email are skipped and counted in the result. A file with no Email column is rejected before anything is written.
What does not import
The import covers subscribers only. Posts, images and layout do not transfer. Bring any content in yourself.
After the import
Add a Newsletter signup block to your home page or posts so new readers can join. Each post announces itself to your subscribers once, on first publish.
Part of Product guides. That is the set — up next: Use cases, on who it is all for.
