Identity

Name and description. Your publication's name appears in the header, the browser tab, social cards and search results; the description feeds search engines and link previews.

Logo. Upload one from your media library

Header presentation. Three switches: show the name next to the logo, use a larger header, center the header. A centered, nameless logo reads like a magazine masthead; a left-aligned logo with the name beside it reads like a newspaper's nameplate.

Theme

Start from a curated preset, then fine-tune. Six ship today:

The six presets

PresetFeel
GazetteClassic editorial — rules, small details, squarer cards
VoltageHeavy headlines, accent underlines, strong spacing
FieldnotesTechnical — distinct code and table chrome
AtelierAiry rhythm, soft media edges
FolioQuiet dividers, generous article leading
IgloosRounded cards on deep navy paper
The six theme presets and the feel of each: Gazette, Voltage, Fieldnotes, Atelier, Folio and Igloos.

You can also choose between some font pairings: Editorial (Space Grotesk headlines with EB Garamond prose), Classic serif, Modern sans or Humanist. The theme follows you everywhere: the published site, the editing surface in the workspace, and inside sandboxed interactives, which receive the same colors and fonts.

Header navigation

Add, reorder and remove the links in your header. Each link is a label and an address — internal, such as /about, or a full address elsewhere.

Docs navigation

Off by default. Turned on, your published site gains a tag-organized sidebar pinned to the page's far left — a browsable table of contents for everything you have written.

  • Sections are your tags. Arrange them by ordering the list; hide any tag you do not want shown.
  • Untagged posts and pages can group under More at the bottom (the default), appear as top-level links, or stay hidden.
  • New tags are never lost. A tag created after you set up the sidebar is appended alphabetically and stays visible until you hide it.

Tag your posts well and this sidebar becomes the spine of your archive.

Footer

Footer text is optional. It falls back to your publication name. Footer links take the same label and address shape as the header — the natural home for About, contact, privacy and terms links.

Pages, specifically

Static pages carry the story options plus their own behavior. Every publication has two protected pages you author directly: the home page, which blends your content with the automatic layout, and the All Posts page at /all-posts. Static pages hide the byline by default, but you can turn it on if you want.
