Snowflake runs on your own model provider account. You create an API key with the provider, paste it into Igloos once, and everything the agent does for your publication is billed by that provider directly to you. Igloos adds no markup and never sees your key in plain text after setup.
Supported providers
The table below lists the providers and models available today, and where to create a key for each.
Supported providers
| Provider | Models | Get a key at |
|---|---|---|
| Anthropic | Claude Sonnet 5 | console.anthropic.com |
| OpenAI | GPT-5.6-Sol, Terra | platform.openai.com |
| DeepSeek | DeepSeek V4.1 Flash | platform.deepseek.com |
Create keys at console.anthropic.com, platform.openai.com or platform.deepseek.com.
Connecting a key
Once you have a key from your provider:
- In Igloos, open Settings and find the provider credentials card.
- Choose the provider, paste the key and save. Igloos verifies the key with the provider immediately.
What Igloos does with your key
- It is encrypted with AES-256-GCM the moment you save it; only ciphertext is stored.
- It is never displayed again — not to you, not to other members, not to the agent.
- It is decrypted only in memory, only to serve your publication's own requests.
- Provider and model choices come from a fixed, reviewed list. A publication can never be pointed at an unknown endpoint.
Managing keys
The owner can disable a key (kept but unused), enable it again or delete it.
Costs
You pay the provider directly, at their rates. Igloos adds nothing. Every chat exchange records the tokens it used, and you can replay each one from the Chat traces card on the settings page, so spend is visible per request. Replies are capped at 64,000 tokens; providers with lower limits may refuse very long outputs, which shows up as a provider error in the trace. You can trace every request back and forth.
